It can be hard to find the best one out there, but I’ve narrowed it down to four of my favorites and listed them in order from least expensive to most expensive. These are all great, high quality models that will last you many years and brew your favorite hot beverage right at the campsite without having to carry a heavy pot or stove with you.

"THIS IS HOW TO MAKE COFFEE ON A CAMPING TRIP"

Camping coffee maker is a way to make your coffee without using electricity. The best options are the ones that use simple methods and require no power. All you need to do is simply place them on your camp fire or stove and let them work their magic.

When I go camping,  making coffee without using any electricity is one of my favorite things to do. There's something really special about making coffee the old-fashioned way and not relying on all of the modern gadgets that we have in our lives today. Coffee tastes so much better when you're enjoying it in nature! It can be a great bonding experience with friends too - take turns brewing your own cups while sitting around a campfire sharing stories and memories.
'tis nothing more refreshing than waking up at dawn for a hike or exploring the woods before breakfast by candlelight; but what comes next? The perfect cup o' joe to warm you from head to toe just as the sun peeks over the horizon!

Camping coffee maker

The Bialetti Moka Express camping coffee maker can be placed directly onto the campfire or whatever heat source you have available at the time. It's suitable for making six cups of coffee at once which I find tends to be the typical amount that's made if you take your family with you. It's been around for a long time as-well, ever since it was invented by Bialetti back in 1933 and it's still very popular, I love it.

Camping coffee maker

This is an extremely clever little device. Its claims to be the first device to brew and drink from a single device. This is why I have included it. Its a very sleek looking piece of kit. I love it because for one person it's perfect, it's extremely compact and can be carried with you easily. It takes very little space up in your bag what so ever. It brews the coffee by using a vacuum pressure twist system that draws hot water down through your coffee beans.

Positives

Negatives

  • High quality - made of stainless steel
  • Small & compact
  • All in 1 innovative brew & drink system
  • Extremely lightweight (425 grams)
  • Fast brewing time (2 minuets)

3. Aero Express

Aero express coffee maker

This is another very clever innovative coffee maker that requires very little space which is perfect for camping. It can make about 1 to 3 cups of coffee per pressing in a minute. This is similar to the french press style but in my opinion better because it can also brew express styled coffee's such as latte's,  cappuccinos and other espresso based drinks. The rapid brewing time of this aero press gets rid of the bitterness and high acidity that is generated when using a traditional french press.

Negatives

  • Small & compact
  • High quality material
  • Extremely lightweight (377 grams)

HOW TO START A CAMPFIRE

Fire starter for camping

When its dry it's easy to start a campfire. First, find some dry sticks and light them with a lighter or match. Once the fire is going strong, find tinder nearby to help start your fire. Dry leaves are great for this purpose so be on the lookout as you gather more wood. You can use these pieces of dried plant matter to catch hot embers that have landed close by and spread their heat up into the larger branches that will burn hotter than those at ground level.

Campfires are something that many people enjoy sitting around as they talk or play games with friends. It also provides warmth from the cold night. If you're wondering how to start a campfire, read on!

  • Find some tinder - this could be dry leaves, pine needles or bark.
  • Collect kindling - twigs and small branches that are thin enough to break easily but thick enough so that they'll light the fire quickly
  • Lay out your tinder and kindling in a pile next to each other about the size of your hand.
  • Build up a pyramid shape with larger pieces of wood around and over top of the smaller ones. Remember not to use anything too big or heavy for fear it might collapse onto itself before catching fire
  • Set your kindling alight using matches or any other means that you available with you
  • Set Once your kindling has taken hold start building it up with larger branches.
  • Now that you have a full on fire add more firewood as necessary to keep the fire burning

I would suggest taking with you a "Life systems" fire starter. These are great bits of kit that are super reliable in helping you start a fire. They are a lot more durable than a lighter and wont run out. The life systems fire starter that I suggest has magnesium on the back of it as-well. Which allows you to get your stove or fire going in wet conditions.

Another great tip is to take some dry kindling with you and keep it dry. If its a wet day it will make getting a fire going far easier.

SAFETY NOTE: There are many things to consider when starting a campfire, and it's important that you do it safely. One of the biggest mistakes people make is not getting the correct materials for their fire. Be sure to have plenty of tinder, kindling, and fuel wood on hand before beginning your fire. Also be sure to choose an area with enough space so there are no hazards around the flames like overhanging branches or dry leaves; this can lead to fires spreading quickly out of control.
